Controlled reliability performance characteristic is mean time to failure (MTTF) or mean time between failures (MTBF).
Such characteristics of reliability performance as failure rate or failure intensity can be controlled by transition to reciprocal values.
With the help of the PC-program "New Plans" it's possible to control the maintainability characteristic — the mean time to recovery.
